For French travelers

Return ticket: It is necessary to have a return or travel continuation ticket to be admitted to the Mauritian territory.

Authorization to leave the territory for minors: since January 15, 2017, any minor, French or foreign residing in France, traveling outside France not accompanied by a person holding parental authority, must be provided with an authorization to leave the territory.

Identity documents and visa

Passport :

  • A valid passport is compulsory
  • The validity duration must cover the entire planned stay
  • No minimum period of validity beyond the stay is officially required, but it is recommended that your passport is valid at least 6 months after your return date

Visa :

  • French nationals benefit from an exemption from visa for tourist stays up to 90 days
  • Upon arrival, a tourist residence permit (Visitor's allowed) is issued free of charge
  • This permit cannot be extended unless exceptional circumstances

Formalities on arrival

Landing card :

  • To be completed on the plane or upon arrival at the airport
  • Required information: personal contact details, flight number, stay of the stay in Mauritius, scheduled duration of the stay

Currencies :

Health preparations

Vaccinations

Compulsory :
